So... I found an FM online to replace one that was stolen in a burglary years ago.  It looked good but had a shutter issue so I took it to a local shop for a CLA.  It took 4 months and cost more than the camera is worth, but it has new seals, looks great and seems to work,.. mostly.

After I put in a test roll of film I noticed that the frame counter does not reset or advance.  I can't open it up until I go through this roll of film, but when I can, what should I be looking for?

thanks,

-Jim

If the CLA cost was more than what the camera is worth, you should be looking to take it back and have the techs fix that frame counter. From your description, it looks like part of the gear train may be missing or broken.

Ron,  That's what I did. I guess we will see what they find and how long it takes.  It should be under the repair warranty and at no cost.  I am hoping for the best,
