Before housing a restaurant, this building was home to Hope Hardware for 80 years starting in 1910. This sign painted on an alley wall is the only reminder of a business that once served a then small (and now burgeoning) North Texas city.

I really like these old business signs. and they lend themselves very well to b&w imagery.

this one is in particular good condition.

Most old buildings don't stand a chance around here. Developers rush to tear down anything with any history at all so they can quickly erect their glass and steel sky scrapers.
