I think this image comes under the title 'work in progress'.

I set out this evening with something like this view in mind, but it's not quite what I wanted.

However - at least the nearly full moon appeared above the 'Lido' sign.

The contrast between the coloured lights both inside and outside the Thai restaurant and the strict conservative lighting on the old hotel was too inviting to resist trying to capture.

A few km away from us is a railway pedestrian crossing.

A new housing estate next to it is planned, so the rail company have said they'll close it due increased use.

I image it to be an unpopular decision amongst those who use it.

This is about as far as I care to go into high ISO. Unlike the mirrorfree DX cameras, the noise gets obnoxious when stressed more than this. This is already borderline, but PhotoNinja can still reduce the noise level. Creeping up towards 50000 is where everything starts to fall apart. The DR is still acceptable @30000, even if it is better with less amplification.

They have lots of atmosphere, Fuller's bitter ales on tap and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale also on tap for those days when you want something that isn't a Bitter Ale...

There is quite a lot of noise at ISO 51200, but I am amazed that the camera has retained so much of the DR at this extreme amplification.
