It might have been improved with real people entering the restaurant, but there was a biting wind this afternoon and I preferred to get back in the car ASAP.

I believe a polar expedition would be out of the question.

Yeah, I like this one much better. The other one wasn't bad, but this version pretty much nails what I envisioned. You're right about the people but they would have to be fairly close to your point of view or otherwise they'd look like ants. Someone just starting across the street would be perfect.

 

We're.... [checks thermometer] currently at 67°F or a little less than 20° as the rest of the world measures it. However, we're expecting a cold (you would call it "cool") front to blast through the area in time for the weekend celebrations. Upper forties F are NOT out of the question. Frantically looking for my long sleeved shirt!

I like this one Peter. The contrast between the red buildings and the blueish snow covered trees make for a very striking image. If there's anything I'd change it would be the big pile of snow in the foreground. I would crop that out... in fact, I would crop everything to just below the bush line, maybe leaving just a bit of snow below that. Otherwise, I really love this image.
