Let’s tentatively plan some minichallenges for the new year.

I will continue the weekly Your best… challenges.

I will probably run repeats of the Single in July and Normalvember challenges as well.

I do have an idea for sometime in spring, let’s call it ”That was the week that was.” One week, one photo per day, Street or Documentary style, the photos presented when the week is up.

Does anyone else have any ideas for educational, fun or both challenges?

Some kind of macro challenge?
A Macro Safari? Hunting bugs can be fun.
Perhaps a  non-portrait portrait lens challenge?

Continue the Monochrome Mondays?

What can we do to activate more members? The usual suspects seem to enjoy posting in the challenges, but we are too few to keep things going.

Some interesting ideas Peter.

Of course I'll lend support to any challenge if able, but let's hope it will inspire others.

I don't have a macro lens now as mine had it's own micro climate, so got binned. Of course, it doesn't mean I wouldn't get a replacement if I suddenly found I couldn't live without one!

Late edit:

I've just remembered I have a Nikon Dx 85mm micro, so could use it with the D3300 if the need arouse!

Could always do simple week long themes like:

Shadows

Shapes

Minimalism

Flowers

Trees

Sports (all)

DOF

Rain

Close-ups (instead of macro, not all have macro lenses)

Wildlife

Birds

Family or Friends

Selfies

Windows

Doors

Decaying

Street life

In the footsteps of the 50-70s masters

Shot through a window

Rusty

Books

Bright colors

In the kitchen

Hand tools

Gardens

Architectural details (not entire buildings)

Etc...

The key is the more restrictive the subject is, the more creativity flourishes.

All good suggestions Mike.

Other forums have similar, & that seems to attract input.
