Parrots!

They gathered in a tree at the end of my garden. I heard them before I saw them.

Adapted M42 lenses are surprisingly easy to use.

I have some K&F Concept adapters to use M42, Canon FD, Minolta MC and Leica M-mount lenses. Now I just have to find where the missing box of lenses areā€¦

We also have flocks of them flying around here, although in recent years their numbers have fallen off quite a but. Perhaps they're all migrating to the British Isles.

I'm going to put them in a boat and send them right back to you Ron!

Urban myth states that a few escaped from a pet shop in North London some years ago.

Now we have 'a lot'.

Whilst looking for property earlier this year, we found what we thought was a nice one. As we waited for the property agent arrive, a flock of about 30 parrots landed on another property next to it.

For the next 20 minuets, they moved backwards and forwards between a house at the end of the same road and back again.

The noise made us remove that property from our wanted list.

We have a fruit tree in the back yard which used to attract huge flocks of them at certain times of the year. Our neighbors have similar fruit trees, including mango which they love. As I'm sure you're well aware of, these birds are a mess... noisy, messy and a general nuisance. In the winter, when we usually have the windows open, one can often hear them coming long before they actually arrive.

At least they're not peacocks!! :P

They are attractive birds, but I'm not sorry that their numbers have decreased.
