Good day.

Newbie here.

I have been seeing how folks are connecting SSD external hard drives via USB to their late model cameras.  Nikon Z7II in my case.

How is this storage being implemented?  Does the camera mount the drive?  Is it witchcraft?

Thanks,

You need to Connect the camera and external SSD with the USB connection cable. Use the USB connection cable supplied with the external SSD.

The SSD works as an storage drive and your pictures can be transferred to it.

Hi, Ellinor.  Thank you for your reply.

The closest I have come to actually doing this  is to connect a flash drive to the camera  using a OTG cable.  The camera didn't seem to see the flash drive.  Perhaps I wasn't looking in the right place?

Thanks again,

.
