Hi All -

I’m looking to purchase an intervalometer for my Nikon D850, is the Nikon MC-36A a good choice or is there something better? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

thanks…Rohit

What needs do you have that the built-in intervalometer can’t handle?

I just feel that the handheld intervalometer is more effective as a remote trigger, and ability to quickly change up other long exposure settings rather than using the built in functionality.

To me, this is just another gaget that needs separate batteries. I used the original MC-36 with my Kodak bodies as they didn’t have a built-in intervalometer, but when the cord broke, I replaced it with a passive  MC-30A remote cord as I had upgraded to the D300 and D700.
