Hi,

I would like to share a technical issue I am facing with a Nikon D600 I bought second hand.

The autofocus is not working well, resulting on images that are a bit blurry. I have tried to fix it with the AF Fine-Tune function but it does not improve.

If I shoot the same photo with the same settings, but using Live View instead of the viewfinder, then the image looks perfectly sharp.

I would appreciate any ideas on how to fix this issue.

Thank you!

Ignatius

If the normal AF is wrong, beyond what the fine-tune can handle, it needs service as either the mirror or the sub-mirror needs adjustment. The camera needs to go on an optical bench to do this, so it will need to be sent to an authorised Nikon service center.
