My more or les Paul has aged nicely since I finished it a couple of years ago.

All three photos are handheld in household lighting with the Zfc, FTZ and an AF 24/2.8D. Manual focus, of course as the lens is from the screw-drive era.

The Shaller bridge and wraparound tailpiece have varnished nicely.

The French-polished, dyed maple top has started to deepen in colour.

I am still very satisfied with how well the book matching turned out.

I'd say that is a triumph Peter.

My woodworking skills are somewhat rubbish.

If I attempted something like that, it would look like a cigar-box creation.

With the right tools, attention to detail and a friend to borrow the over 50 patterns and jigs necessary to shape the wood using machine tools from, it isn't that much more difficult than making a cigar-box guitar... It was, however, more work than my first one.

Finishing one of these Thomann kits is within the abilities of anyone who can follow instructions and didn't flunk woodshop completely.
