Hi - I have recently taken ownership of the Nikon Z9 and am currently practicing with it.  I am noticing a noise coming from the camera whilst it is not being used (for the moment I have prevented it from auto turning off as I want to see how long the battery will last).   The sound is a little like the sound the camera makes when focusing - only continuous.  Anyone else noticed this?  Many thanks Gillian

Could it be the VR motor if the lens is VR?
