I love this type of low light street photography. Vintage photos let's me know I don't need the best gear. Average or even below average gear, a creative eye, the right moment in time, and creative processing is all you need to be a master of the photography craft.
I have an idea of what I'll post the 29th.
Same format as last week... first the basic raw conversion followed by the monochrome and then the recipe.
After using these settings, I saved them as a preset for the session.
I tried to play with some subtler tones this week, catching the morning light in the atrium at the city library and the view through one of the ventilation windows.

Three older gents I hang out with from time to time...D700 with a Nikkor 80-200mm AF f2.8 D ED internal zoom and focus on the left. Nikon D750 with a Nikkor 50mm AF f1.8 pre-D lens in the middle. Nikon D700 with a Nikkor 20-35mm AF f2.8 D internal zoom and focus on the right.
I shot this with my Nikon D5500, Nikkor 18-55mm kit lens. Everything on AUTO. I all but refuse to use it in manual mode because I despise the controls and the way they work!
The post production was kinda boring, I added a bit of contrast to the original color shot, cropped it, and converted it to B&W and that was it.
Looks like a scene from the film "It's a Wonderful Life".
Except for the modern cars. That's Millersburg, PA Main street, business section.. I always thought it looked like ''Mayberry'' NC. It's a wonder they didn't do a remake of that movie...that I know of.
