Not sure why this little fellow landed on such a barren piece of the yard, but he was on the other side of the gate and proved hard to photograph. I positioned the camera over him, thumb on the back focus button and started shooting. I got a few good ones.

On vacation in the Pacific Northwest. I'm in a nice little cottage on a heavily wooded lot. Did a little walk around the other day and saw this.
