going out to shoot the pride game tonight if no rain got my tickets for it. will have 28-75mm being test out and 120-300mm. but get the 70-200mm with me just incase i need. good thing found good way to lock the e-bicycle up and found out can not take battery too unless have key for it. no monopod to day since do not need it. first will use nikon Z 28-75mm to test out at game. since do not need to unlock battery to take with me. since will be locked to bike since can not take off unless you unlock it. the really good lock be hooked to bike before i leave since weight of it to heavy weight the most out of all my camera gear. so will get field test of lens today for 120-300mm and 28-75mm.

Distant view of Shivering Sands against the sunset.
This was the last army sea fort to be installed in 1943 near the Thames estuary.
It now rusts in silence, too decayed to be of any practical use.

Went to a July 4th weekend car show this morning...many interesting vehicles. One fellow had brought a 1954 Mercury that is in his words "under construction". A quick look inside revealed a floor mounted gear shift (4 speed) so he clearly isn't restoring it to original condition. What caught my eye, though, were all the cues that reminded me that I'm old...an AM radio, roll up windows, a horn ring and a "suicide knob" on the steering wheel, an analog clock in the dash, a Betty Boob figurine, and a total lack of any safety restraints.

Pete, great sun-set! Love the oranges!
Bluzman, Love the old cars, loads of memories there, I can almost smell them!
Those, ''suicide'' knobs were originally for WWII Vets who had lost an arm in the war, (not with an ''8ball'' design of course, but those knobs enabled many Vets to drive after the war who otherwise wouldn't have been able to). No seat belts, no air bags, steel dash...we died like men!
