Hahnel Modus 600RT v2 Flash (Nikon version)
With my Nikon Zfc the flash gun works fine in "Manual" setting but is actually designed to work in the iTTL mode. However, everything is completely washed out (massively overexposed) regardless of the Zfc camera settings. Does this mean that although the Modus 600RT might be great with other Nikons and iTTL, the firmware doesn't allow it to work with the Zfc?

The camera and flash gun do communicate (shutter speed) and the flash automatically zooms, when the Nikon zoom lens focal length is adjusted etc. It's just that the iTTL function doesn't appear to work correctly and washes everything out.

In its current form, is the Modus flash incompatible with the Nikon ZFC?

I checked with a dealer here in the states and, according to them (B&H Photo Video) this flash should be compatible with your Zfc. As to why it's not giving you proper results, I have no idea. I don't personally own either of these two products.

Perhaps one of our other members can be of more help.

Returned the Modus 600Rt and now using a Nikon SB500 ... iTTL now works absolutely perfect!  :)  :)
