I have D850 and bought with it the Nikon 24-70 1:2.8E ED VR lens
I checked it all out via fine tune when I bought it. And it seemed to show sharp focus. But I only checked that at a few metres distance. After using for some time and wondering why photo's were not pin sharp, which I put down to camera shake as I have epilepsy shake on hand, so have to use faster speed settings. But today I did a check using tripod and fine tuning ruler chart. If I put at around 1M You can see it is pin sharp as I used timer to cut down shake. F9.5 was perfect. But if I do same with a more distant photo, of which you would normally use for most shots, then look at photo on pc and zoom in you can see focus is lost. I tried this with tripod and fine tune ruler device 3M away and focus using AF and it was so poor at any F setting. Is it the lens or something I'm doing. I have adjusted + - dial and even added an extra x2 booster optics for better glasses as I am +3
