Hi I’m new to photography and have just bought a Nikon D5300 everything is great love it but am having problems downloading my photos to my phone :(
I’ve got the Nikon WMU app and I connect wifi in both camera and iPhone start to download the photos then half way through the download it says camera disconnect and I lose the wifi in my iPhone?
Does anyone have any ideas
I managed to download them the last twice I’ve used it but today nope I’ve tried four hours now :(
Feeling dispondent with my photography :(

Hello, and welcome.

I've got no idea and anything I would suggest would probably be wrong, I'm just not enlightened in electronics, (whole different generation).  Have some patience and someone with the right answers will be along.  I don't know why but your post seems to have been hidden for almost a week.  Hang in there.

I would go for a card reader that is directly compatible with Lightning like this one: Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader — Apple - Apple (UK)

Using WMU or Snapbridge for your standard transfers will soon make your hair grey as they aren't very stable and really slow. It is much faster and more reliable to just take the card out and use a card reader.

Welcome Christine

I'm with Peter on this. Alternatively, get a USB lead that will directly connect the camera to the iPhone.

All my downloads go to my PC that way, as I never take the memory cards out.
