The AF-S in my post is part of the lens name. It denotes a lens with a built-in silent focus motor.
Exif stands for Exchangeable image file format and is a standardised format for metadata about the photo.
The line at the bottom of my post above is the aperture value, shutter speed, ISO settings and the lens used.
AF-A can be a problem as it was a very new technology in the D7100. It is much more reliable in later cameras.
Do you shoot in raw or do you use jpg? If you use jpg or use Capture NX-D to process your raw files, what Picture Control do you use? All third-party raw converters apply their own settings for the conversion, bypassing the Picture Control settings.
