Wow!  What a sky you have there!  And colors!  Magnificent Peter!

These images remind me of some of the Kodachrome slides in my archive. The deep saturation and high contrast were a dead giveaway. And, oh, that Kodachrome blue sky!

”Kodachrome, they give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world's a sunny day, oh yeah
I got a Nikon camera, I love to take a photograph
So mama don't take my Kodachrome away”

Simon and Garfunkel.

When I was young, I used Kodachrome for landscapes and cityscapes and Agfachrome for everything else where I wanted slides. When these films became unavailable, I turned to E100VS where I had used Kodachrome and E100 to replace the Agfachrome. I tend to process my colour work in a similar way still.

With the exception of doing a some E4 early on, I never messed around too much with processing my own color film. Just seemed like too much work for me.

But yeah, Some days I'd wake up in a Pete Turner mood, load up with K25, and then venture out to find those nice bright colors.

And, even though I hadn't shot much Kodachrome in a long time, I mourned the day they killed it.
