By FAR my favourite lens, great on shaky places like boats. Awesome for animal photography.

May I ask why you would go for manual and non-vr?

A tripod would always help on a manual setting without VR

Hi Wolf..

Firstly cost, the 'VR' is twice the price and im on a budget at the moment, although the lens is 'AF' when its used on the D3200 its manual focus only im afraid as the camera will not work with the AF..

This is probably my favorite zoom that I own. A GREAT lens for the money. I only wish it was a bit faster, but then it wouldn't be as affordable.
