You know that old saying that there is no such thing as a silly question? I think I may have the exception.

I have had a D3000 for some years, from memory it was the highest level model without video when I bought it and I've been delighted with it.

I haven't used it for a while but needed to take a couple of pictures to send to somebody and found I just can't use the LCD screen to frame pictures, only the viewfinder is usable. I searched the Internet which said just press the "LV" button - I can't, I don't have an "LV" button!

I have been through all the menu options and found nothing and even reset the camera. My doctor wants some pictures of a skin condition and I really need the LCD to work.

Can anybody point me in the right direction please?

Hello Jeff

I'd guess this is the 'disappeared' post mentioned is your other post!

The D3000 hasn't got live view, the first one in the 3000 series to have it is the D3100, so sadly you're stuck using the viewfinder.
