Interesting, that's a classy building. Can you imagine roofing that building?
Here's the YMCA building in Harrisburg, PA. the closest city to me, (not my photo) about 25 miles away. It was a cotton mill during the 1860's and served as a hospital for wounded from both sides after the Battle of Gettysburg. About 400 wounded were brought there by train, of which some 60 died from their wounds and 45 were buried in the Harrisburg Cemetery.
The grave of one of the eleven Confederate Soldiers who died at the above ''hospital''. I photographed all eleven Confederate graves in the 90's with my Canon F1n. Most simply read, ''Confederate Soldier-Unknown''. Derry Hicks is the only one of the several named Southern men not recorded for some reason, maybe his family never knew what happened to him. Across the lane in the cemetery lay thirty four Union men. I didn't have enough film to record them that day, and should go back to do that.
