Seriously dumb question here, lost the battery door cover for my D7200 today while charging the batteries. Any reason to not use the camera while waiting for the new cover to arrive? Camera seems to work okay

It might be a bit exposed to the elements. A bit of duck tape might be worthwhile.

… or gaffer’s tape. It leaves much less residue to clean off. The same goes for the vinyl electrician’s tape.

I second the gaffer's tape suggestion. Assuming you get the real thing.... (pro tip: Black masking tape ain't it), that stuff is amazing.

Another pro tip: stick with Nichiban gaffer's tape if you can find it, the shelf life is over double compared to Tesa and about half again compared to 3M
