A sunny day in July:
Thank you.
I'd recommend a visit to anyone - bit of a long bus-ride for you unfortunately.

Yeah, most of it under water!
Seriously, those are very good, at first I thought you may have bracketed them.

Do you mean borrowed?
Note to self - do not insert images into posts - always use Flickr to host them.
I rely heavily on post processing – perhaps too much.
It’s very rare that I’d keep a snap ‘straight out of the camera’.
N X Studio to the rescue – always.
No Pete, not borrowed, bracketed as in taking several shots of the same thing at the same time at different +/- settings to get all the detail from the shadows and the highlights and processing them into one photograph. Best done on a tripod using the timer or remote release. In the D3300 you have to do it manually, 1 normal exposure-1-2 under exposure and 1-2 over exposure, blend in post.
I rely a lot on post processing myself, I run everything through Affinity Photo if for no other reason, just to get it where I want it and can find it!
Ah, bracketing exposure!
Good idea, but as you say, manual on D3300. My outings to these venues are always accompanied
by my wife, who doesn't have the same enthusiasm for photography as myself.
I take a shot or two quickly & move on!
I would point out this it isn't a problem, as it's her day out as well.
