This bird didn't have the purlecent blue of yours.
Saw at least two of them & both looked more dull grey than blue.

Having looked up the Great-tailed Grackle, I note the female is brown and dull.

It's entirely possible the two I saw were the same bird on different days.

I conclude you have the right answer!
