Hi lass & lads

I've been a bit annoyed that it takes up an aweful lot of space to store my photo gear, furthermore if being clumsy its a pain in the neck storing on shelves.

So I've got this silly idea of getting something as basic as IKEA PAX cabinet (236x200) with 100 cm wide drawers in half height - My plan is to lay down the equipment but on some soft of foam...

The question really is, how thick is needed, and is single-layer egg tray foam enough, or is it needed to have cell and then layer of which you take out foam in order to 'shape' the lenses (surrounding them by foam)

Hope to get some inspiration, perhaps even pictures!

The problem with using P-U foam is the off-gassing of chemicals from the affordable products. Using PAX drawers is a good idea, but I would rather use neoprene wraps like these to protect your lenses.
