"Static" just for lack of a better way to describe it.

At first I thought it was the display on the camera going bad but they appear just the same once loaded onto my computer--both in VLC and Premiere. They're lines flashing across randomly, sometimes just a few seconds apart but no more than 20 seconds. They only last a frame or two but I grabbed a couple stills.

Has anyone seen something like this? Thanks in advance!

It might be a write error on the memory card. What card do you use? How old is it? Have you tried another card?

Only a couple years old. It's a Sony XQD. I can give it a shot, but if it were an error with saving to the card, would I still be seeing it happen live on the display while I'm recording?

I don’t know. That would depend on where in the signal chain the camera taps the output signal.
