Fairly new Z5 w/ 24-200 4-6.3 lens user. Recent vacation i took 250 photos many of them out of focus. Everything! Took one landscape in full sun at 125 f11 ISO100 and focused 1/3 into the frame using back button AF. Nothing in focus. Advise please

Probably need to post a couple of sample pics.

In the example you mention, what focal length was your lens set at? What I’m getting at is that if, for instance, it was set at 200mm the at a shutter speed of 1/125 you will get movement blur.

For nothing to be in focus at f11 at medium/long distances takes a bit of doing. That’s why I’m thinking a camera movement issue, rather than a focus issue.

Does the lens focus properly manually? What about if the camera is on a tripod or solid rest of some kind? Also ,  you need to ensure that for that kind of shot the focus is set to Single AF, not Continuous AF or at least make sure your thumb is off the button before you recompose the shot.

When you hit the button to focus, does the camera appear to focus correctly in the viewfinder?
