Hello and help!

Out of the blue my Z6 lost the Aperture Mode! More precisely, when the mode dial is on "A" it displays "S" mode on the screen. S mode appears twice - the regular S mode when the dial is on S plus the new one!

I have tried the following: jiggled the mode dial a number of times, turned camera on-off, reset the settings, upgraded the firmware from 3.1 to 3.4, load a custom user settings file send from another Z6 user that had A mode on U1...

Any idea? The camera was £2700 when bought. Tbh, Nikon should have extended warranty for such issues.

Best regards, Adrian

Adrian, someone will answer, keep the faith! (This is a self-encouraging post, for someone who paid £2,700 ;))

Hmmm, think it is a pretty rare issue! One off maybe.

Hello Adrian

excuse me if this is a daft suggestion - page 152 of the manual suggests the shutter & aperture can be independently locked (f4 reference).

Could this option be activated?

Resetting the camera won’t necessarily clear custom options.

Hi Pete, thank you for the suggestion, I will check it out.
