Hi -  I can't get an sd card to stay in slot one anymore.  My camera is a few years old, but I've never had an issue with it before.  Thanks.

Looking at an SD card you will find that it has a notch. In an SD card reader (and the D750) there is a spring driven mechanisms which holds the SD card by this notch.

Now take a magnifying glass and a light and compare the inside of slots 1 and 2, especially where this notch would be placed when the SD card is inserted. See if you can softly help the spring to move (as fi some small dirt could keep it in place) or if it is broken.

If you can`t get it move the camera likely needs to go to the repair center unless you can live with only using slot 2.

This is a common issue that plagues some older camera, just a wear and tear issue. If the SD card won't lock in, you can get this fixed by a repair professional, but first try a canister of compressed air, like the ones people use for keyboards. Spray from about 12 inches away and lightly, to try and dislodge any dust in there.

The reason could be with SD card, try checking the card health with CMD in your PC.

Thanks!  I actually left a card out of slot one for awhile.  Now it stays in!  But if (or when) it happens again, I'll try both of these.
