Today, I dusted off my Fuji bridge camera to use for a project.

This involved climbing a scaffold tower with it slung over my shoulder.

Before I even got out of the house, the neck strap came undone and the camera fell on the kitchen floor tiles from just over a metre in height.

Upon hitting the floor, the battery door flew open and the batteries and memory card came out.

However, no discernable damage occurred – well done Fuji.

I can’t help thinking if this had happened to my D3300 I wouldn’t have been so lucky.

My open question is if members have had similar miss-haps, but their camera survived?
