I was in Frankfurt to take delivery of a brand new ten year old D3S. It was part of
a very complicated estate that took ten years to resolve. In its original, sealed box
and everything that was supposed to be in it.

The person who inherited it, whom I know well, phoned me to chat a bit and to ask
me what it was and how much it was worth. She offered it to me on condition that
I come to Frankfurt for dinner — after which we went for a walk in the old town. Of
course, I couldn't resist a few shots after menus configuration.

Still crazy after all these years!

Thanks krag. I gave my son the D3S that supported my ambitions
flawlessly for 10 years and he said:

"Too bad for you, dad, I know what I'm getting but you don't know
the new one… so good luck!" He's right of course but I don't have
any bad feelings. He will end up with it when the time comes.
