Hello everyone,

 

My name is Gary and I started learning photography back in 2010 when my wife purchased my very first DSLR a Nikon D3100 as a Christmas gift.  I then began my quest to learn all I could about photography and the Nikon system, and discovered all the wonderful older lenses that I could use with the more upscale bodies, so I promptly purchased a D7000 in mid/late 2011, and the addiction took hold.  In addition to the D3100/D7000 (which I still own), I have recently upgraded in the past 2-3 years to a D7100 and a D800 and love them both.  I have also amassed a decent collection of lenses over the years including zooms and primes (both manual and auto focus).

 

Photography has been mostly a hobby for me, but I have done some professional work as well here and there such as weddings/events and portrait work.  I look forward to posting some of my stuff here as well as asking questions and sharing any knowledge I've gleaned over the years.
