My Z6ii has lost the capability of adjusting shutter speed using the rear command dial in all modes including S and M.  I am able to change shutter speed using the front command dial in S and M modes by reversing main/sub command dials in the custom control settings.  I am also able to change shutter speeds in S and M modes using the touch screen.  So, the problem appears to be related exclusively to the rear command dial.  I have reset the camera to default settings to assure that a menu setting is the not the problem.  The camera firmware is updated to version 1.21.  The camera was purchased new earlier this year.  I was able to adjust shutter speed using the rear command dial prior to the firmware update.

Has anyone come across this issue?  I am trying to determine if it is a mechanical problem or a firmware update related one.  I have Googled the issue to see if it may be related to the recent firmware update to version 1.21 and have not seen any postings about update related issues.

Same camera, same firmware update, no issues.  Works either by touch screen or command wheel in both M and S modes.

Have your tried reinstalling the firmware update?  I would download a new copy of the file.  Failing that, try Nikon support.  Live chat on weekdays might be able to sort your problem.  Good luck.

Problem Resolved.

Good news.  I received my camera back from Nikon Repair late yesterday afternoon.  I was expecting a four to six week wait, but, remarkably, I received it back in only one week and six days from door to door.  Really astounding.  Nikon replaced a Connector FPC (flexible printed circuit).  The camera is now working as expected.  I kept a copy of all my menu settings, so I am back in business as of this morning.
