Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, August 15 2021, post the best photo you have taken this week.

Any subject, any style and any equipment—just give us your best shot.
If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

I usually go for shots with the sensor plane absolutely square. Today I wanted to do something completely different. The same goes with my Vivid as a starting point, tweaked to a more natural rendition. These Canon-like ultra saturated colours can be nice now and then.

I was going to say that's totally out of character for you to be posting a picture with so much key stoning.  :D

This week, I'm submitting a Little Blue Heron for this contest.  I love the contrast between the pretty colors of the bird and the vegetation.  I sometimes have problems getting birds and scenery in focus for the same picture and I like the way this one came out.

Interesting that the EXIF data is exactly the same as the picture I submitted last week, except last week's pic has an ISO of 125.

Not a photographic kind of week here with extreme heat and high humidity!  Today was better and I made almost 100 shots, mostly of the technical type with a macro lens for some friends in England.  (you guys are tired of gun pix anyway)  I snuck in a few pup portraits though.

Nikon D750  Tamron 90mm f2.8 AF Macro

I flew on Auto pilot today due to all the tech pix I was doing, and a lot of sharpening and contrast in post, (dealing with tiny markings on steel and wood, some worn).

Here's the kids.
