I commented over in the other thread, but I'll just say again--nice job! I'm impressed with the detail you were able to get. Glad to know you did this with the 105mm--it may be my next lens...

Thanks, guys! The super technical way this was shot . . . The snowflake stuck to the glass of my patio door, and my sister lit it with an LED flashlight. That's it! I admit to taking hundreds of photos that didn't turn out.

Here's a second, that looks pretty different despite being within minutes of the first on the same patio door:

Very nice...you got some great shots!  Te 105 micro is definitely the top lens on my list...looking at all these macro shots makes me want to get back to playing with macro...

Terrific!! I tried to take some myself. It didn't turn out good. But I found out that the right angle on the lighting LED flashlight helps and yes the right conditions. Thanks for sharing this.
