I suppose it's not surprising that Joan of Arc is omnipresent in churches and chapels in France.
Of course, being a hero and saint or a villain depends a lot on who wrote the history books but for me, as an uninvolved observer (*) - neither English nor French, she was a woman who beat the men in their century old "games".
