Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, August 1 2021, post the best photo you have taken this week.
Any subject, any style and any equipment—just give us your best shot.
If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

Photos taken from Peters Mountain at the Appalachian Trail

D700  Nikkor 80-200 f2.8  D  AF  ED

It amazes me how green things are here this time of year, then we do get good rain this year.  I had to check the photos against scenery, and it is that green.

Weather has been pretty wet here for the last month or so with just a few days of sun. I haven't been taking any photos worth posting here until a couple days ago when the sun finally came out long enough to go take a few photos of these Rough-legged Hawk chicks.

A few weeks ago there were two chicks in the nest. A Crested Auklet is the menu for the chick.

4 of 5 chicks left from this nest. 5 chicks is the most I've ever seen in one nest but, this is the first time I came upon this one. The other nest usually had 2 at the most.
