HI

Ive used my d90 to shoot pictures of cars for the past 10 years. Always bright sun.

I upgraded to the d7500 because the adjustable viewer has saved my back.

But I can't figure out what adjustment to make to get similar photos to my d9-0.

I always shot my d90 in auto with everything set to factory settings. I just loved the results I got so I never changed.

Ive tried shooting the d7500 in the same, just auto and shoot but the pictures are very dark and ugly. I tried different scene settings but they aren't giving me the results I need.

Ive attached 2 photos shot with my d90 in auto and the same 2 with 7500 in auto. The coiors are less rich and sharp. The silver is all dark including the ground. Anyone with more experience have any advice?? Thank you

The D7500 images appear to be more natural to me.  In general they seem to have a bit more contrast. You can see the shadow of the trees stands out more in the D7500 as an example of where it is noticed.  The D7500 has more dynamic range than the D90 which should help to better display the tones in the image.  What, if any, post processing did you perform on the images?  I know you said you shot in Auto.  What were the settings the cameras chose?  Shutter speed, aperture and ISO?

Shutter speed, aperture and ISO are different from one camera to the other
