hi all :D

it's the second time i sell this lens on ebay and twice in a row the users complain it's not doing autofocus

the first buyer had a D60 and said it maybe a faulty strip inside since it does not autofocus at certain focal length

i expect the second buyer to return it as well

i am puzzled because it works on my d5300 including when i received it back the first time. i half press, autofocus works. turn video mode, autofocus works.

is it me who daydream this is working? is it bad luck that I have 2 dumb buyers in a row? Could they be lying?

Nikon compatibility chart says no problems with practically any models including D60

is there incompatibilities with this lens??

the complete reference of the lens is Nikkor AF-P DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 G Lens

The AF-P versions use a stepper motor instead of the "silent wave" piezo motors of the AF-S versions. This means that they won't AF on earlier than D3400, D5200 and D7100 bodies.

The VR versions are even less compatible as there is no way to control the VR on D5200, D5300, D7100 and D7200 bodies. These bodies don't have the menu settings to control the VR off/on and these lenses don't have a switch to turn the VR off when needed.
