Hi Folks

I'm a begginer photographer and having problems with using aperture priority mode in my Nikon D3200. If i set my aperture priority and set my Iso  sensitivity to 6400 maximum and minimum shutter 1/30s. How ever the camera keeps lowering the shutter speed below 1/30s. Also in Auto ISO. I believe you can change the setting to allow the camera to change iso instead of shutter speed when in aperture priority if the minimum shutter speed is reached. If anyone can help i would greatly appreciate. Here is a video of the instructions but it doesnt seem to work on my D3200.

Thanking you in anticipation.

(I've moved your thread to the Q&A forum).

Since the camera thinks it needs more light, it would need to push the ISO even higher, which is outside of the auto ISO range.  That's why it is opting for the aperture instead.

Assuming there is sufficient light, to get what you want, you'd otherwise need to be in manual mode with auto ISO.
