Hi all.

I purchased the awesome 70-200 FL ED VR lens back in late March. I have used it fairly frequently since then. About two weeks ago, I noticed a strange issue developed out of the blue. Suddenly, the autofocus seems to not work reliably despite no change in settings on my part. To be specific, when I zoom in past the 110mm mark, the camera is unable to focus on the subject despite the fact that I can hear the motor working. I've noticed that when I use the manual focus ring to get the subject in focus, and THEN hit the back button autofocus, it's able to retain it's focus on the subject, but only with my assistance. I have tried other lenses on my D850 and it's only this lens that is affected.

Any idea what is going on? Thankfully it's still under warranty so I can send it in, but trying to make sure it's not something obvious on my part first. I have attached an example of the focus issues I'm encountering. Shot was taken at 1/500 F/8 ISO 160 @ 130mm.

Thanks!
