I have a D70 camera and many lenses. My wife got a new D3500. Is the an adaptor to use my old d70 lenses on the d3500 and auto focus?  I see a FTZ adaptor would that work?

If the D70 era lenses are AF-S, they work with a D3500 but if they are AF??????D or AF?????? lenses, they don't have the AF motor in the lens and rely on the body to drive the autofocus.

The only bodies with an AF motor today are the D7xxx, D500 and the FX DSLR-s. A D3xxx, D5xxx or Zxx with the FTZ all need a focus motor in the lens to work fully.

The FTZ adapter needs AF-i, AF-S or AF-P lenses for the AF to work, just like the D3500 and it adapts the F-mount to the new Z mount in the mirrorless bodies.
