I am trying to decide between two options:
1. Buy the just-announced Nikon 105 mm/2.8 macro lens to use with my new Z6ii.
2. Shoot macro with a Pentax KP (APSC) camera and a good Pentax 100 mm/2.8 macro lens that I already have.
Both the cameras are 24 MP, but the Pentax, with its smaller sensor, has greater pixel density, which I imagine will yield greater resolution. The Z6ii,on the other hand, has a more advanced sensor and technology in general--would that lead to higher overall IQ?
Also affecting the decision, of course, will be the $1000 cost of the Nikon lens and the burden of carrying two cameras when I go out to shoot in the woods.
I'll be grateful for any input
