Sorry the long-windedness of this question in advance.

I have a Nikon D3200 which we have used for around 5 years.  Last month, we got "Error.  Press Shutter Release Button Again"...even though the shutter is fulling working.  The mirror is working as well.  Any time we have tried to use it, we get the error...and then we press the shoot button which brings us to the original screen.  When we try to go to Live View, the screen goes black and the only way I can turn the camera back on is by taking out the battery and putting it back in.  However, we still cannot take a picture.  The repair shop we talked to wasn't sure of the problem, so I thought I'd ask the experts here.  Any assistance would be amazing.

Thank you!!!
