Uppsala used to have lots of cinemas before the multiplexes took over.

 

These were all within a city block from each other. Here is how they look now.

Renamed to Reginateatern

Current use: Theatre and other stage art

 

 

Grand

Not renamed

Current use: Youth centre

 

Slottsbiografen (The Castle Cinema)

Not renamed

Fully restored with support from Ingmar Bergman while he was still alive and classed as national heritage.

Current use: Cinema

Great subjects, Peter.  A little bit of everyday life now vanishing or repurposed like the old small town train stations.
