I just bought a used D500 as a gift for my wife. It was sold in "Excellent" condition from a reputable seller. It arrived today and looks great.

It has a 30-day no-questions-asked return policy, and a 90-day warranty.

So, in that time, and before I give the gift, what kind of tests should I put it through to make sure it's all working like new?

I'm not a photographer, and I'm only basically familiar with the concepts from learning on a 35mm film camera back in the 1980's. So talk to me like I'm a complete ignoramus.

Thanks.
