I've just bought a Z5 with the 24-70 f/4 lens. All very nice. I kept the Sigma 150-600 C and the Sigma 105 macro from my D7500 setup but am now looking for a  transportable telephoto for the Z5. The Z 70-200 is, of course, the obvious answer but expensive. Just wondering, since I have the FTZ adaptor if an FX lens might be the answer. There doesn't seem to be any news of Nikon producing a relatively affordable Z telephoto in the near future.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

The reason there is no affordable tele zoom on the roadmap yet is probably that the 70-300 AF-P is so new and works so well on the FTZ. The 100-400 will probably not be cheap...
