First time Bracketing with a D5. It only produces one photo regardless of bracketing settings:

PHOTO SHOOTING MENU: Auto bracketing AE [tried all settings]

   Bracketing settings [-2F 1.0], [5F 0.3] etc.

   Modes A, P.

SET UP MENU: Reset All Settings.  Still no joy.

Am I missing something, or does this sound like a camera malfunction?

Are you in any of the Continuous shooting modes? If you are in Single-shot, I think it takes one shot per button press instead of the whole bracketing series.

100% right.  Mode S required repetitive shutter releases; CL & CH modes worked with one.  Many thanks for the guidance.  Much appreciated.
