I recently had some photos that were seriously over-exposed. I don't RECALL changing any settings, but a friend said he looked at the EXIF on my files and made the following recommendations to me:
1) You have "Easy Exposure Compensation" enabled in the menu. If you're not using Exposure Compensation, I would turn this setting off.
2) Exposure Compensation is set in camera to +1.7. This explains your exposure issues.
3) You have AF Fine Tune turned on but no adjustments specified. If you don't need this feature, please turn it off.
I found out where to turn off the Easy Exposure Compensation, fine, that's one!
But I had a look through the PDF manual for these other 2 things and I can't find them. I certainly don't recall trying to set them and I've had the camera for years and use it often. To be fair, the over-exposures just started happening recently so maybe I messed these up while I was trying to fix something else? Who knows?
Where to I find these last 2 settings in the menu system?
